Bethlehem-26/10/2014, Quds Bank opened its’ new branch in Bethlehem, in the presence of Dr. Jihad al Wazir, Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority, Akram Abdel LatifJarrab Chairman, Director General Samih Al-subeih, a representative of the Governor of Bethlehem, Bethlehem Municipality, and number of legal persons and entrepreneurs in Bethlehem, as well as a delegation of the Executive management of the Bank.

 

The ceremony opened with the ChairmanAkram Abed Al-LatifJarrab word who welcomed attendees, saying: "I am pleased to meet again at the opening of a new branch of Quds Bank, which is the National Bank and to make every effort to be a milestone in the banking sector which has made obvious achievements.

 

"The Bank's commitment to continue development and tender, is a consistent approach and strategy, and from there the process of updating the mechanisms of action and continually improved in line with the latest developments of banking on the one hand, and provide the best service to the citizen, it is irrevocable under permanent philosophy based on expansion and proliferation.

 

He said: "the opening of Bethlehem is the embodiment of the branching policy, where the Bank continues to implement each year, so a number of our branches and offices up to 27 branches and offices. Also we plan during the coming period for opening more branches and offices in other counties, where we got the necessary approvals for the opening of new branches in Rafah and Jabaliya, two branches in the towns of Kaplan and jama'in, hitting the branch network and our offices to 31.

 

Al-Jarrab said that the Bank, which boasts extended tender and constant since our inception, confirms that it will proceed in its work within a vision focused on the principle of social responsibility, contributing the advance of economic activity, and to engage effectively in the service of various segments of society, with Quds Bank always to be a supportive partner in the advancement of the nation achieving peoples’ aspirations.

 

For his part, Dr. Jihad al Wazirthe Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authoritycongratulated the Banks’ Branch Manager, saying: "I am delighted for your participation today with the opening of Banks’ new branch in Bethlehem, where the Palestinian Monetary Authority, we appreciate this and consider it a further step toward activating the role of the Quds Bank in development, with 13% of the local Bank's assets, the banking system in Palestine, we are proud of the significant progress made in spite of the difficult political and economic conditions.

 

"The Bethlehem district today after the opening Quds Bank branch have achieved the record to which we aspire in global standards for the banking branch, a branch for every 10,000 citizens."

 

Dr. Kanan, Director of the public relations department in Bethlehem welcomed his audience, here the Bank opening new branch in the city of Bethlehem thanking him for his interest in this region in particular, and wished for further progress and success, ensuring that the Bank will support the economy of the city of Bethlehem and its development support.

 

Worthy mentioning that Bethlehem branch is part of a strategy for expansion by the Bank during this year and future years through branches and offices in different regions of the towns to the cities and counties where the number of its branches and offices over the next year reaching 31 branches and offices.
